Trail Maintenance Districts

Shelter on Georgia Appalachian TrailThe Georgia Appalachian Trail is divided into 12 Trail Maintenance Districts, which are managed by  District Leaders and maintained by Section Overseers.

GATC designates one day a month to perform District Trail Maintenance, in addition to the routine monitoring and maintenance done by the Section Overseers. For detailed description of the Districts and their section see Trail Descriptions
