GATC Picnic --
Good Times with Good Friends
Forty or so of us visited, relaxed, renewed old friendships, enjoyed a wide
assortment of foods, and listened to live music at the GATC Picnic on April
30. It was a beautiful spring
day at Amicalola Falls State Park. Thanks to Don Hicks and Dawn Collinge who
each led a hike, and to Jud Germon who brought his guitar and played and
sang.

Working to
clean up tornado damage

loppers and a good hand saw. There are approximately 8 to 10 significant
blow downs on the main trail and one minor and one cluster on the spring
trail.

Presidential Ponderings
As of this writing, I just returned from my first experience at the Southern
Partnerships Meeting. This is an annual retreat where the Southern Regional
Office of ATC (SORO), maintaining clubs from VA, TN, NC and GA, USFS
partners and other state agency partners gather to share information and
discuss issues affecting the AT.
