This is an in/out, 11-mile strenuous hike.  Section 11 of the BMT is the northernmost section of the BMT in Georgia.  Double Springs Gap is at the GA / TN State Line.  Because this hike is within the Cohutta Wilderness, there is a limit of 12 hikers.
