This hike starts at Horse Gap on FS 42 and proceeds southbound through Hightower Gap, Three Forks, past the Stover Creek Shelter, and ends at Springer Gap on FS 42.  This strenuous hike is about 9.6 miles long, has about 2,600 vertical feet of ascents, and requires a shuttle.
