This backpack is a 24.4-mile two-day trip in the southern Nantahala Mountains.  We will start from the parking lot at Standing Indian campground and hike 4.1 miles on the Kimsey Creek Trail to Deep Gap, where we will pick up the AT, climb Standing Indian Mountain, and hike to Carter Gap and camp.  The next day we will climb Albert Mountain and return to our cars on the 2.3-mile Long Branch Trail.
