This activity consists of two separate in/out challenge hikes in the Cohutta Wilderness.  The hike to Cowpen Mountain starts at a parking area on FS 64 and proceeds up the East Cowpen Trail.  Then a short bushwhack is required to the summit of Cowpen Mountain and back to the parking area.  The hike to Bald Mountain starts at the forest service road near the Lake Conasauga Campground and proceeds up the Tearbritches Trail to the summit of Bald Mountain.
